Save the Date! Al-Awda San Diego Elections - 2 PM Sunday October 4, 2009

Al-Awda San Diego is pleased to announce that we will be holding our local annual chapter board elections on Sunday October 4th, 2 PM at the Al-Awda Center, 2734 Loker Avenue West, Suite K, Carlsbad CA 92010. The election meeting will begin with a report on the previous year's chapter activities, and will be followed by some discussion including of future plans before nominations are accepted and the election process begins.

The board of Al-Awda San Diego will include two individuals who will act as the chapter's representatives to the national coordinating committee. The board may also include one or more coordinators for each of the following aspects of the chapter's work: media and library, fundraising, treasury, event organizing, community outreach, refugee support, cultural, social,
youth, and student representation by campus.

Please note: Nominations may only be submitted at the meeting on Sunday October 4, 2009.

This event is free and open to all Al-Awda members, volunteers and supporters who are active with Al-Awda in the San Diego area.

Baklawa, other pastries, coffee and tea will be served at the meeting.
