Al-Awda San Diego Members' Meeting and Annual Elections
Sunday, November 14, 2010, 6:00 P.M.

Al-Awda San Diego invites all annual dues-paying Al-Awda members in its area to a general meeting on Sunday, November 14, 2010 starting 6:00 P.M. at Al-Awda Center, 2734 Loker Avenue West, Suite K, Carlsbad CA 92010. The agenda will include a report on the previous year's activities from the chapter's coordinators, followed by a report from the chapter's treasurer and each board member present of the work they have been responsible for in the past year. Some discussion of future plans will then take place before nominations and seconds are accepted and the election process begins. As in previous years, copies of the independent CPA reviewed financial statement detailing national and local activities for the previous fiscal year will be available to members attending the meeting.

The elected board of Al-Awda San Diego will include two individuals who will act as the chapter's representatives to the national coordinating committee. The board will also include one or more coordinators for each of the following aspects of the chapter's work: refugee support, media and library, fund-raising, treasury, event organizing, community outreach, cultural, social, young activist and student representation by campus.

Please note: Nominations may only be submitted at the Sunday, November 14, 2010 meeting.
