Action: Protest Visit of Ehud Barak to San Diego!

When: Tuesday January 17, 2006, 5:00 PM

Where: Manchester Grand Hyatt - One Market Place, downtown San Diego

Why: Show solidarity with Palestinians who were violently attacked and many killed on his orders! Tell the world that Barak's visit is no honor for San Diego. It is a dismal, wretched, and shameful affair!

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the 11th annual United Jewish Federation (UJF) Men's Fundraiser at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego. During his time as Prime Minister, Ehud Barak oversaw some of the largest increases in Israeli-government sanctioned Zionist settlement activities in the West Bank. These settlements steal the best lands and water access sites from their rightful owners, divide Palestinian lands into reservations, and function as outposts for stealing more Palestinian land. As former Prime Minister, Ehud Barak is also responsible for the injustices of apartheid, displacement, occupation and oppression, violent attacks and murder that Palestinians have faced under every Israeli administration.
